Michelob ULTRA London Triathlon 2006

Rapid River exercise pools and swim spas took an active role in the Michelob ULTRA London Triathlon 2005.

The triathlon is fast replacing the marathon as the event of choice for testing your body to the limit, and the London Triathlon is the world's largest event of its kind. Over 8000 people participated in a punishing program of running, swimming and cycling, while over 30,000 people visited the Triathlon Expo.

The athletes taking part took advantage of our Rapid River exercise pools and a swim spa that were set up in the exhibition hall. Swimming against the powerful countercurrents of our exercise pool warmed them up and prepared them for the swimming section of the race ahead. After the race, those taking part could relax in the swim spa - with it’s powerful hydrotherapy jets soothing tight, tired muscles it was an excellent way for them to come down after such a strenuous day!
